We're looking for a marketing intern who doesn't just think about marketing — but actually does it. Someone who recognises a good story, knows how to package it visually, and at every step asks: can I do this smarter with AI?

At XKP Visual Engineers, we build the future of how governments, infrastructure owners, grid operators, engineering companies and project organisations communicate about infrastructure and energy projects. Our platform Project Atlas is used by leading organisations across Europe. Our marketing story? We're building it now — and you'll continue building on it and bring it to life.

What will you do?

This is a hands-on role. You don't just advise — you deliver. Every week.

Content & storytelling

You turn our projects and product updates into sharp content: LinkedIn posts, customer stories, visuals and website copy. You interview colleagues and clients, write the copy, and make sure it looks good and lands well. You have a natural feel for what works — in tone, visuals and timing.

Channel & campaign management

You manage our LinkedIn presence and other channels, track performance and optimise based on data. You roll out campaigns and test what works.

Marketing strategy in practice

We have a content strategy and marketing calendar in place. You build on that foundation: filling the calendar weekly, improving our strategy and translate it into concrete actions and ensuring consistent execution. Plans that sit in a drawer don't belong here.

AI-first mindset

 For everything you do — from content creation to analysis to persona research — you actively look for how AI tools can make the process faster, smarter and more scalable. Not as a gimmick, but as a natural part of how you work.

Who are we looking for?

  • You're a doer. You don't wait for perfect briefs — you pick things up and learn along the way.

  • You have a creative eye — for copy, visuals and what makes something land with people. You can feel when something looks right and when it doesn't.

  • You have a tech-savvy mindset and are already comfortable with AI tools (Claude, Gemini, Nano Banana Pro, Canva AI, or similar) — or you get up to speed fast.

  • You write well in both Dutch and English. German is a real bonus given our international growth.

  • You have an interest in B2B marketing and understand (or want to understand) how complex technical products are sold to organisations with long decision-making cycles.

  • You're studying Marketing, Communications, or a related field at HBO level, in your third or final year.

Based in the heart of Rotterdam, we are a digital innovation company helping organisations communicate the impact of infrastructure, energy, and spatial projects through advanced 3D, GIS, and visual technology. We are a team of about 20 dedicated employees driven by a shared passion for clarity and innovation. Our core platform, YUNO Project Atlas, is an online mapping application used by leading organisations across Europe to visualise and collaborate on spatial projects.

Reach Your Full Potential

The goal of this internship is to gain practical experience within our Explore/Exploit process. You will work in our Business Development team, which is responsible for:

  • Validating the Future: Translating new platform ideas into Value Propositions and Business Model Canvases.

  • Customer Discovery: Conducting interviews with municipalities, engineering firms, and project developers.

  • Experimentation: Designing and running tests to prove (or disprove) new features or services.

  • Scaling Up: Analysing data to support "Stop/Pivot/Continue" decisions and preparing concepts for the Exploit phase (Marketing & Sales).

What Are We Looking For?

  • The Mindset: You are entrepreneurial, proactive, and curious. You take ownership and thrive in an experiment-driven environment. You are tech-savvy and already comfortable with AI tools

  • Skills: Strong analytical and communication skills. You can structure ideas clearly and translate them into business concepts.

  • Language: A professional command of English. Dutch is a plus, and given our international client base, German or French is a distinct advantage.

  • Interest: A genuine passion for digital products, innovation methodologies, and user research.

Are you a Business or Management student with a native or professional command of German? Do you want to play an active role in establishing innovative digital solutions within the German-speaking market?

We are looking for a proactive intern to help shape our expansion into the DACH region. You will work on real-world projects with direct relevance to cities, infrastructure, and society. What Will You Be Doing?

As a GIS / Project Atlas intern, you will support our team in building and maintaining maps within Project Atlas. Your work will include:

  • Preparing shapefiles for use in the Project Atlas

  • Placing and positioning images on the map

  • Setting up maps within Project Atlas

  • Helping solve cartographic challenges within the Atlas

  • Datamanagement: Creating templates for commonly used layer stylings and turning these into reusable datasets

Who Are You?

  • You are enrolled in a study related to human geography, urban planning, or cartography

  • You have an affinity with maps and geographic data — you simply enjoy working with them

  • You are familiar with, or eager to learn, QGIS

  • You are proactive, detail-oriented, and enjoy working in a collaborative team

What Will You Learn?

During your time with us, you will develop skills in:

  • Working with QGIS, from importing and styling data to preparing production-ready map layers

  • Building interactive maps in Project Atlas and understanding how spatial data translates to a compelling online experience

  • Cartographic storytelling — learning how to structure and design a map so it communicates a clear, impactful narrative

  • Understanding the technical side of GIS workflows, such as managing shapefiles, coordinate systems, and layer styling

  • Collaborating on real-world spatial projects with direct societal impact

Tijdens deze stage maak je integraal deel uit van het productieteam dat verantwoordelijk is voor het maken van visualisaties. Je werkt mee aan lopende projecten en leert hoe een productie van begin tot eind tot stand komt. Jouw verantwoordelijkheden omvatten:

  • Technische Interpretatie: Het lezen en interpreteren van technische tekeningen.

  • 3D-Modelleren: Het maken van 3D-modellen op basis van technische input.

  • Grafisch Ontwerp: Het produceren van 2D-graphics.

  • Productie-ondersteuning: Assisteren bij animatie- en nabewerking staken.

Wie zoeken wij?

  • De Mindset: Je bent creatief, werkt zeer nauwkeurig en bent leergierig in een actieve werkomgeving.

  • Technische Vaardigheden: Affiniteit met techniek en digitale producten. Ervaring met verschillende 3D-softwarepakketten (Autodesk 3ds Max is een prioriteit) en de Adobe Creative Suite (of vergelijkbare software).

  • Interesse: Je krijgt energie van 3D, animatie en visuele communicatie.

Wat ga je leren?

Tijdens je tijd bij ons ontwikkel je vaardigheden in:

  • Het lezen en begrijpen van complexe technische tekeningen.

  • 3D-modelleren en animeren in 3ds Max.

  • Nabewerking en editing in Photoshop.

  • Het maken en animeren van 2D-graphics in Illustrator en After Effects.
